Gastrointestinal Cancer Treatment Center

Dr. Robert Mayer and a patient.

The Center for Gastrointestinal Oncology manages one of the largest volumes of patients with gastrointestinal malignancies in the country. Patients diagnosed with colorectal, pancreatic, stomach, liver, gallbladder, bile duct, and esophageal cancers, as well as carcinoid tumors receive services coordinated by a multidisciplinary team. From outpatient assessment and evaluation by specialists and sub-specialists to a tailored treatment plan and compassionate care, the Center offers patients a wide array of services and support.

Patients have the opportunity to participate in clinical research trials focused on identifying new and better ways to prevent or treat abnormalities of the gastrointestinal tract. This research not only gives patients access to the latest therapies for gastrointestinal cancers, but also makes the Gastrointestinal Oncology Center a major referral center for the administration of novel therapies.
