Education and Support Programs
DF/BWCC at Milford offers programs throughout the year to educate the community about prevention, screening and treatment for cancer.
All programs are free and open to all.
Programs take place in the conference room on the second floor of the Cancer Center. Refreshments are provided.
Coping with Cancer Support Group
Second and fourth Wednesday of every month
2:00 – 3:30 pm
(no meeting June 12)
A support group for people living with cancer to offer support to one another and explore ways of coping with the stresses created by diagnosis and treatment. Family and friends are welcome. Breast Cancer Support Group
First Wednesday of every month
4:30 – 5:30 pm
A support group for women who would like to meet with others to explore ways to cope with their diagnosis, its effect on their lives and to support each other. Facilitated by Ann Sullivan, LICSW and Mary Beth Proulx, RN. For more information, call Ann Sullivan at (508) 488-3783.

An American Cancer Society (ACS) program for women. Come, have fun while you learn beauty tips to help you look and feel better while undergoing cancer treatment. Provided by ACS volunteer beauticians. To register, call Christine Mort at (508) 488-3703.
Caring for the Caregiver
First Wednesday of every month
6:00 – 7:00 pm
A support group for those who are helping a loved one or friend cope with cancer. The program provides practical information to enable caregivers to be more effective in their role as well as offers the opportunity to meet and gain support from others coping with similar issues. Writing About Cancer Workshop
4-week workshop: April 4, 11, 18, 25
4:00 – 6:00 pm
