To assist medical professionals in providing the best possible care for patients, we offer a number of ways to refer a patient or obtain a consult. Whether contacting us by phone, the web or through our physician liaison, we will promptly attend to the needs of you and your patient.

Inpatient Transfers (MDCONNECT)
MDCONNECT supports referring physicians by facilitating the transfer and transport of patients. With one call, an operator will coordinate timely communication between referring and receiving physicians, locate inpatient beds, and arrange transport. Ground-based, mobile ICUs, staffed with specially trained nurses and paramedics, are also available through this service. To transfer a patient, call (877) 637-3337 24 hours a day and press the number "2" for Brigham and Women's.
Physician Liaison
Our Physician Liaison is available to assist you with patient referrals, inpatient transfers, consultations with specialists and background information about our physicians and services. To contact our Physician Liaison, call (617) 732-9598.
Doctor-to-Doctor Consultations
Our physicians are available for doctor-to-doctor consultations to discuss cases. To consult with adult oncology specialists, call (877) 332-4294.
Online Specialty Consultations
This program allows physicians all over the world to refer cases (adult only) to Dana-Farber oncologists and Brigham and Women's specialists for expert second opinions. By combining the personalized care of the patient's local physician with the expertise of our team of specialists, cancer patients have an opportunity to benefit from state-of-the-art care regardless of their location.
