The New England Cancer Survivorship Research Conference will highlight future directions of cancer survivorship research and provide an opportunity for researchers to share their current work. The goal of the meeting is to bring together survivorship researchers in the New England area, both to help develop collaborations and to promote discussion of critical issues in cancer survivorship research. The 2013 conference will feature three national leaders in the field of survivorship to present on cutting-edge topics; Smita Bhatia, MD, MPH, from City of Hope to present on genetic and biological factors affecting the development and management of medical late-effects, Eva Grunfeld, MD, DPhil, FCFP from the Ontario Institute of Cancer Research to present on the delivery of survivorship care and the efficacy of care plans, and Jennifer Ligibel, MD from Dana-Farber Cancer Institute to present on the optimization of Health Behaviors.
