Course Overview
This course is designed to provide hematologists, oncologists, internists and other interested clinicians with an update on the latest developments in diagnosing and treating lymphomas and related disorders. Through lectures, case-based presentations and Q&A, participants will learn about emerging new drugs and drug combinations as well as how to incorporate these new treatments into daily practice.
At the conclusion of this course, attendees will be able to: provide an overview and highlight the recent advances in lymphoma and CLL to achieve better patient outcomes; and recognize appropriate management and treatment options for hematologic malignancies and how to apply these approaches in routine clinical practice.
This course has been designed to enhance the following Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education competencies:
- Patient care that is compassionate, appropriate and effective for the treatment of health problems and the promotion of health
- Medical knowledge
- Practice-based learning and improvement that involves the investigation and evaluation of their own patient care, appraisal and assimilation of scientific evidence, and improvements in patient care
